Australian Antarctic Station Calls

AAD operates Casey, Davis and Mawson on the Antarctic continent, and Macquarie Island in the sub-Antarctic. Macquarie Island should therefore not be described as a continental Antarctic base.

This page covers that station network. The separate +672 country reference for Norfolk Island is not a substitute for these station instructions.

The Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) gives station-specific incoming call instructions for its ANARESAT network. From Australia, use international prefix 0011, then 672, the station access digits below, and a four-digit station extension supplied by the person at the station. Check any carrier access requirements with your provider.

Station access digits: Davis 10; Mawson 11; Casey 12; Macquarie Island 13. The four-digit extension is not published here.

From outside Australia, replace 0011 with the international access method used by your local carrier. These instructions apply to the listed AAD stations; they do not establish one calling arrangement for every Antarctic base or every network.
