- DOF-stated transition to the 2018 plan’s zone-based administration
The retained transformed DOF selected-fact evidence states that the 2018 plan’s zone sections and zone-based number administration, utilization and assignment enter operation on 2025-07-01.
The retained evidence is a selected-fact web-reader transformation, not original bytes or the complete legal instrument. This context does not establish current CRT plan force, later amendments, zone boundaries, locality membership, or complete coverage.
Effective from: 2025-07-01. Source, review date and qualifications
- Ten-digit dialing and geographic zones
Mexican national numbers use ten digits. The former dialing prefixes 01, 044 and 045 were removed on 3 August 2019.
The 2018 plan defines eight geographic zones and allows numbers associated with a zone to be used in any locality within that zone. A zone does not identify one town.
Effective from: Not recorded. Source, review date and qualifications
- A zone digit within the national number
The CRT resolution dated 18 December 2025 describes a ten-digit national number whose first digit identifies a geographic zone, from 2 through 9. This zone digit is part of the national number.
Effective from: Not recorded. Source, review date and qualifications
- Zone-based allocation from July 2025
The transition amendment kept the previous NIR allocation rules in force through 30 June 2025. Zone-based number administration and allocation began on 1 July 2025.
Effective from: 2025-07-01. Source, review date and qualifications

Supported calculations run from 2026-01-01T00:00:00Z until 2031-01-01T00:00:00Z. Zone names identify IANA representative locations; they do not locate a telephone number. The browser detects your device’s configured zone, which may differ from your physical location. Time rules: IANA tzdb 2026e. Location labels use its retained country tables. Times use the selected IANA entry; they are not a claim about every location in the country. The initial selection is a starting point; it does not confirm the capital’s time, country-wide time, or your location. Choose an IANA entry. Some entries may show the same current time.

Code scope and kind describe the retained source record; a number prefix is not automatically a standalone destination code. Source-record state and its named-area relationships are separate. Listed in source does not confirm present allocation, live service, routing, activation, subscriber, carrier or caller location. Older records have no inferred withdrawal date. Unconfirmed records retain their specific visible qualification. Original names come from the cited code sources. Use the reviewed dialing guidance for domestic-prefix handling; no universal digit-removal rule applies.
